The tarot has long served as a map for those navigating uncertainty. Ask the Universe Tarot reimagines that map for the modern seeker, grounding the 78 arcana in the universal structure of the hero’s journey—the arc of departure, trial, and return that Joseph Campbell identified as the archetypal level of human experience.

Mara Parra moves through the major arcana with psychological insight, tracing a web of recurring symbols that build across the 78 cards. The Fool’s box of matches, lit for survival at the journey’s start, evolves into the Hermit’s dim lantern, then blazes into the Sun’s triumphant light at the journey’s end, creating a unified framework for reading and reflection. Each card, illustrated by Agus Minuto, is treated not as an isolated symbol but as a voice in conversation with those around it, while astrological correspondences and archetypes enrich each card’s interpretation.

The minor arcana, exhibited in the suits of Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles, extend this framework into the textures of daily life: the fire of creative desire, the clarity and conflict of the mind, the tides of emotional experience, and the grounded work of material realization. Each card comes with a phrase that captures its core message for you to reflect on throughout your day.

Ask the Universe Tarot is an oracular tool and a philosophical companion, providing clear guidance on your hero’s journey of transformation and self-transcendence.
